Dover Days Festival 

The annual Dover Days Festival in May features Kent County, Delaware's biggest parade, a celebration of the state's heritage and culture. The festival has games for children, tethered hot air balloon rides, food vendors and reenactments.

St. Patrick's Pub Crawl

Each St. Patrick's Day, Milford holds a pub crawl from 6 to 9 p.m. Hit up every tavern in town and enjoy some great food with your brews, too. Merchants join in the fun every year, so it's an evening when the whole community has a magical feel.

Fifer's Farm Store 

Located west of Dover, Fifer's Farm Store offer a mouthwatering variety of homegrown fruits and vegetables you can explore. The Country Store is open from April-December each year. Don't miss the ice cream while you watch how your food is sourced. 

Bug & Bud Festival 

The annual Milford Bug & Bud Festival is a yearly celebration of Arbor Day and Milford's designation as a U.S.A. tree city. The festival includes fun for the whole family such as a costume parade, local entertainment, arts & crafts and more. This event is meant to educate children and parents on the importance of preserving nature while celebrating Milford. 

NASCAR at Dover International Speedway 

Dover is home to the Dover International Speedway and a yearly event known as the "Monster Mile". The Monster Mile is aptly named for the grueling mile-long, banked circuit at Dover. The winner of this event receives a trophy of the famed mascot "Miles the Monster" and is considered one of the most famed trophies in motorsport. This year's Monster Mile takes place from May 14-16th, 2021.

Killens Pond State Park and Water Park is the perfect destination for a warm spring day. It features paddleboats and water slides where you can cool off in the water park which is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. You can also take the Cross Country Trail for a fun springtime hike. 

The Green 

The Green is often referred to as the heart of Dover, with tons of history worth exploring. The Green held troop reviews during the Revolutionary War, and a local tavern served as the gathering place for the men who became the first to ratify the U.S. Constitution. This area is also home to the First State Heritage Park which offers historical activities that the whole family will enjoy such as free guided walking tours hosted by colonial dressed interpreters. The First State Heritage Park located at The Green offers a unique glimpse into Colonial life.
