Pumpkin Patch Sundays at Loblolly Acres

Visiting a pumpkin patch and selecting the perfect one to decorate your home is a fall staple. On each Sunday throughout October, Loblolly Acres offers pumpkin picking and other seasonal activities the whole family can participate in. Spend your Sunday afternoon enjoying the October weather, getting hayrides, eating food from local vendors and food trucks, playing yard games, and listening to live music.

Wicked R Ranch

If you're looking for some spooky fall fun, consider visiting Wicked R Ranch this year. You can find family-friendly fall fest activities during the day on Saturdays and Sundays, and then things get eerie at night. The Wicked Woods costs $20 per person — or per "victim," if you're using the business' language — and runs every Friday and Saturday night in October. Bring a friend or two, and prepare to be frightened!

Farmers Markets

Going to a farmers market is the perfect way to spend a sunny Saturday morning. The Harrington Farmers Market offers fresh, locally grown produce, and there are many friendly faces to see. Stop by every Saturday through the end of October to enjoy baked goods, thrifted finds, local vendors and more! Hint: getting the cinnamon buns is non-negotiable.

Another option is the Riverwalk Farmers Market in Downtown Milford, which is the longest-running farmers market in the state. 2023 will mark its 28th year. This seasonal market runs every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from May to October, with an additional fall market continuing through November. If you are looking for fresh produce and local goodies, this farmers market can be the perfect morning excursion for you and your family.

In Frederica, Delaware, you can also explore the Tidal Market on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. At this seasonal farmers market, you can enjoy canned goods, fresh produce, live music and handcrafted items like cutting boards and jewelry. This market is also great for families!
