A Farmer’s Christmas

Young and old will enjoy the sights, sounds and scents of the holiday season at the Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village -- the museum and 1890's village are transformed into a holiday wonderland!!!

In the main museum building, young visitors can try their hand at a variety of holiday crafts such as paper quilling, bead wreaths and yarn dolls.  Everyone will enjoy sipping hot mulled cider while listening to a variety of holiday musical performances and observing artisans demonstrating their crafts.   Take a stroll down the “Avenue of Trees”  and visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.  Step back in time to our 1890’s village and experience the holidays in a old time country setting.  Hear carolers singing traditional Christmas music; visit the live nativity scene at the church; enjoy the aroma of cookies baking in the farmhouse wood-stove oven; watch a blacksmith hard at work in the blacksmith shop and listen to ghost stories told in the train station.  Great fun for all ages.  Museum members admitted free; nonmembers pay regular museum admission ($3 to $7)
