Quaint Village Getaways
WE'RE WELCOMING VISITORS AGAIN, JUST IN TIME FOR SUMMER FUN!
From arts, culture, and casinos to food, drinks, and our bayside beaches, Delaware’s Quaint Villages are now open in limited capacity! While we are still requiring face covers and social distancing you can do those things here for a change of pace!

Enjoy the unique amusements and deep-fried pleasures of the Delaware State Fair, July 23-August 1. Drive along the Delaware Bayshore Byway and dip your toes into the sand. Tour our Amish Countryside. Go camping with the kids. And treat your family to the warmth of our First State hospitality once again. You’ll find us within a couple hours of most mid-Atlantic cities—perfect for a weekend away. So get closer to normal this summer with an escape to Kent County. We can’t wait to welcome you!

IN FRESH FOODS.
Two of our most popular farmers markets are now open for the summer! The Riverwalk Farmers Market in Milford is open every Saturday with local produce, baked goods, seafood, meats and crafts. And the Capital City Farmers Market is held every Wednesday in Dover with fresh produce, local vegetables and seasonal fruits.

LUSH PATHWAYS THROUGH NATURE.
Kent County is filled with parks winding along wetlands, Delaware Bay shorelines, and our expansive countryside. Dover’s Hunn Nature Park has 172 acres of uplands, wetlands, meadows, and sub-aqueous lands. Follow a trail through it all, leading you past the native plants and wildlife that call this special park home.

IN THE FLAVORS OF OUR VILLAGES.
Restaurants are now open at 60% capacity (face coverings required except when seated at a table)! Benvenuto is a Tuscan-inspired Italian restaurant in Milford with a romantic, European ambiance. Elizabeth Esther Café in Smyrna features scratch-made meals from local, organic ingredients. And for those who enjoy the taste of a good, local, craft beer, stop by Mispillion River Brewing in Milford. For all dine-in experiences, please call ahead to make reservations and/or for more details.

WITH SOMETHING SPECIAL.
Be sure to do something on your getaway to make it extra special. Like stay at the historic Bank House Bed & Breakfast in Milford. This Victorian-style B&B features one of the largest private libraries in Delaware! Another idea is to plan an afternoon along one of Kent County’s many scenic cycling trails. Ride along a 14-mile riverside path on the St. Jones Greenway. Hop on one of the cycling trails and pathways at Blackbird State Forest. Or train for September’s Amish Country Bike Tour!
