Irish Women in the American Revolution

This event has already finished but is here for your information

While Irish men were a vital part of the military campaigns during the American War for Independence, little is known of the Irish women who stayed behind and contributed to the war effort at home. This program aims to demonstrate how Irish American women during the American Revolution supported the cause of freedom in the realm of the home. Visitors are encouraged to participate in the creation of a felt shamrock representative of St. Patrick that they can take with them.
