Big Draw Delaware: Candle Making for the Holidays

Cost: Members $30 • Non-members $35 • plus $15 materials fee

This class introduces you to the ancient art of chandlery. You’ll be working with hot wax, containers, dyes, scents, and wicks to learn how to find and shape light. By blending upcycled materials with new, you’ll give used items new life and create candles ready to keep or gift. Materials will be provided, however, please bring old candles (and stubs) along with an assortment of used heat resistant/watertight containers such as mason jars, mugs, seashells, teacups, and vintage glassware to upcycle. Wear old clothes and/or bring an apron. An additional $15 materials fee is payable to the instructor on the day of class.
