2018 Poetry Out Loud State Finals

The Division is proud to present the annual Poetry Out Loud State Competition to be held at a new location this year, Dover High School Auditorium. The competition encourages high school students to learn about great poetry through memorization, performance and competition. The winner of this competition will represent Delaware and advance to the National Finals in Washington, DC on April 24-25, 2018, where $50,000 in awards and school stipends will be distributed. This program is sponsored by the Delaware Division of the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Poetry Foundation.  Learn more Free and open to the public.
