After the Ride

Places to enjoy after your ride through the Amish countryside of Delaware’s Quaint Villages.

Cycling enthusiasts flock to Kent County, Delaware every September to enjoy the annual Amish Country Bike Tour taking riders throughout the Amish countryside.  Cyclists spend the day along the scenic back country roads enjoying breaks at unique designated rest stops and finishing their ride with a picnic lunch in historic Downtown Dover.  The sightseeing doesn't have to stop when the tour is over.  Delaware's Quaint Villages are home to a variety of shops and eateries to wander through and enjoy.  Here's a list of some of our favorites to experience before heading home.

Shopping

Byler's - Relax and take your time wandering through the aisles of Americana at Byler's.  From Amish crafted pieces to home decor, there's always something new to discover at the market.

Spence's - This Dover, Delaware stop is part flea market and part farmer's market.  Find everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to vintage finds to flowers for your patio.

Fifer's - A Farm and Country store located just west of Dover, Delaware, Fifer's provides shoppers with a unique farm market experience complete with seasonal produce grown just outside its doors.

Simply Charming - This antique shop in Wyoming, Delaware features artfully placed antiques, furniture, vintage finds and local pieces that you can't find anywhere else.

Rose Valley Greenhouse - Discover the charm of this local's favorite.  The greenhouse features seasonal plants and flowers that are sure to brighten up your home.

Shady Lane Selections & Countryside Shoes - Located just south of Dover, Delaware, visitors can find handcrafted quilts, housewares and gifts.

Food

Countrie Eatery - This Delaware staple has been serving up homestyle meals for over 35 years.  The Countrie Eatery serves breakfast all day, satisfying lunches and hearty dinners.

Hall's Family Restaurant - Located in Wyoming, Delaware, this family tradition serves up favorites like scrapple, chicken salad, fried oysters and country fried steaks.

Magnolia Family Restaurant - The Manolia Family Restaurant is know for their hearty meals and country favorites including their homemade meatloaf, pork chops and crabcakes.

Spence's - Be sure to grab a bite inside the food court area at Spence's.  Find whoopie pies, soft pretzels, freshly baked pies, roasted pork sandwiches and other must-haves for the ride home or while you shop.
